The Last Day

Annie here: Today we went to a Swiss Museum Park which has examples of traditional Swiss buildings from all of the cantons in acres of gorgeous grounds. It was fascinating, but a very hot day, so we all wilted a little. But we can't complain about the sun - we've had it in abundance this week! I continued my role as Annie Doolittle, communicating with the animals, and being bitten by a goat. Back to the cabin for a barbeque followed by an amazing lightning show up the valley.

We also backblipped yesterday's stunning view from the top of the Jungfrau.

We're on international 3G so will comment on our return to WiFi.

Here's a review of the holiday from the other guest blippers, youngest to oldest:

Louis here: The holiday was fun. The house was cozy. Adventurous. I met 2 new friends (Matthew and Sarah) though I'll never see them again. :( A little bit rainy. Some days were hot. The walking was a tincy-wincy bit boring.

Rosie here: My favourite part of the holiday was when we went tobogganning down a metal track and you could choose how fast you went. I also enjoyed the open-topped cable car and going under the glacier. The holiday was beautiful and the views were spectacular.

Immy here: Our holiday in Switzerlamd was amazing! The views were thrilling (especially the mountains and lakes), the weather was great and the people I was spending it with are really fun. :) There were loads of different activities to do and no day ever got boring. My favourite parts of the holiday were the 1.2km toboggan run, the trip up the Jungfrau and swimming in the lake. :)

Kayleigh here: I really enjoyed our holiday, and unfortunately today is our last day. We have done lots of very interesting things, such as climbing the mountains, and visiting some old houses showing the history of Switzerland. We all took lots of great photos of the wonderful views we got to see, and overall it has been a great trip. :)

Adam here: Fantastic photo opportunities, amazing views and a beautiful area with fantastic folk... Ed: At this point Adam was too distracted photographing the lightning to write any more...

Susie here: The holiday has given me some amazing experiences, such as travelling to the "top of Europe" on a train, taking in the sights of mountains and waterfalls, pretty Swiss houses, and tobogganning down a mountain. I have loved every minute of it, and what better way to experience it than with my lovely family and best friends. Even the weather has been amazing, giving us a week of hot sun and ending with a fantastic thunderstorm.

Chris here: What an amazing country Switzerland has been for us this week. Despite arriving in pouring rain, the weather has been spectacular. But what has really made it has been the stunning scenery and great company. The Jungfrau ascent is probably the abiding memory, particularly the views from the top and walking out into the snow in my walking sandals (much to everyone's amusement). We've been treated, and we will return.
