Such clear air

After all the rain we have had the atmosphere was pretty clear today. This photograph was taken looking south-west from the trigonometry point atop Little Solsbury Hill. Looking past Beacon Hill, one of the Seven Hills of Bath, I could see the Mendip transmission mast, and a wind-turbine near Wells (relatively new, I think; I haven't seen it before but may it be joined by many more).

According to Google Earth, the mast is 17.34 miles from Solsbury Hill!
