what a day...

About 6 hours in total spent travelling to get my biometric fingerprints for my Russian visa, an appointment scheduled for a specific time slot, which was mythical, and then took a minute.

On the way back had the misfortune to encounter the Brexit bus. Being short tempered after my visa experience and the flooding entered into a lively debate with an elderly lady who I helped off a bus, who I learned from her very audible mobile phone call had just been interviewed for television about polish fishermen... who demanded I voted "leave"

So, back home to an assessor, and taking up the living room carpet. Unfortunately found some things which are irreplaceable and damaged, photos of my gran and great grandma, and a newspaper from 1915 talking about my great grandmas war effort in bomb making!
