Evening snack

The waxwings are back and in the berries! They can't even wait for them to to ripen so they sometimes have quite a struggle to pull off the berry. Pretty amusing to watch. They  have been very skittish this year though . Normally I can get pretty close to the tree to get some photos , but this year they take off if I get too close. This was dusk ( after 8PM ) and it gets dark here about 9 Pm at this time of year, so I had to push the ISO to 2000 to get anything AND lighten up the shot. Hence it is grainy. Sadness. But it will have to do for now. I shall try again on Saturday... if they have left any berries on the tree by then. Last year it looked like aswarm of locusts had gone through and the berries were gone in about 3 days. This year the female grosbeak and finches have been after the berries as well. I am still working on trying to catch the grosbeak. This morning he flew off when the squirrel hogged the feeder.
