Coming Down

This is one of the UW dorms built in the 60's - just think of all the life that has gone on in these cells, now in the process of becoming only a memory. I love the rebar, the lines it makes to support form. And I love things in the state of going back to a natural, more or less, state; unless this transition is coming from war or disaster.

Later I was at a terrific quilt show in the Bellevue Art Museum and all those quilted pieces often stitched together kind of huckly buck - well there is a resonance. (There is also a fabulous Shaker Furniture show too)
