Bargain Time

Competition is rife between the Stockbridge charity shops. This offer would surely have drawn in a few passers-by even if it didn't tempt me over the threshold. I was just running a few errands, wasn't in the market for bargain basement footwear.
It's been another driech day, pretty miserable all round, and we called the golf off this morning after one glance out the window. So errands instead; the bank, the co-op, the post office, compost dumping and bottle recycling. Then the final uplift from my mum's place, Paul and his workmates swinging by and taking away all the furniture that the charities rejected. Thanks guys!!
It's strange seeing the house completely empty, last time was when my folks bought it more than forty years ago. I wonder how long the new owners will stay.
