abstract thursday

thought I'd have a go at this challenge today but hadn't realised there was a 'minimalist' theme. I went to St Laurent de Cerdans where they make the traditional catalan striped cloth in a multitude of colours and patterns. 
Its not what I'd call 'minimalist' though (see extra for the original). For this version I've simplified it with a crop and using the 'bas relief' filter in PS. I've never tried this before but it seems to emphasize the cloths texture and simplifies the image by removing the colour. Bought some traditional espadrilles which will make a change to my usual boring black sandals. Will maybe blip them one day but  not minimalist enough for today.
