Rickety Bench (Plati)
Today is our last full day here. After a couple of hours around the pool, we headed back up into the mountains for a last drive around to take in the stunning scenery.
I wanted to return to the village of Plati where I went with my friend Kel a few days ago and photographed the Greek widow. Today we went to the restaurant next door and shared a greek salad and watched the world go by. The blip picture is of a derelict building near the village war memorial that has fabulous blue doors and an interesting rickety bench outside.
This evening we walked into the village of Piskiapiano and enjoyed our last evening meal in an authentic greek restaurant. It was not only us that thought it did excellent food as it was packed. A fab meal, jugs of wine, bottles of beer, fruit, raki was 23 euros (£18?). No wonder we don't go out an awful lot when home!
