Magic of the Alps
It has been glorious sunshine, warm and wonderful, with the occasional dramatic thunderstorm and torrential downpour. It freshens the air and adds to the magic.
This morning the cloud patterns were fascinating and we've had a couple of dramatic storms - as well as lovely sunny phases.
So far today I've been listening and watching musical genius at work. I went to a master class given by the Hungarian maestro, Gabor Takacs-Nagy. He was working with an experienced and talented Chamber music ensemble, the Rhodes Piano Trio.
He took them through Schumann's D Minor Piano Trio no 1. To listen to his advice was such a privilege. "Schumann is emotional striptease. If you're shy, don't do it".
Towards the end : " I love this. I think it is alive now ".
And we can attend these classes for free.
