Rural retreat

Packed the car and headed off to Wales. Had a good journey and made it to the campsite base for the cabin at around 3.30 pm. Managed to find the cabin in the trees and take our stuff up the narrow path through the sheep field and up a hill. The stream runs very close to the cabin. What you can't see in the photo are the clouds of vicious midges that attacked as soon as we got out of the car!

To our dismay, we realised that 'bring your own linen' actually meant 'bring your own bedding' so we had to find somewhere to get a cheap duvet before bedtime. A Tesco in Porthmadog saved us and we were able to retire to the tiny cosy cabin with a bottle of wine and ready-meal curry.
