The Bicentenary of The Leeds, Liverpool Canal .

This wonderful event on the time line of the industrial revolution was celebrated at the Pendle Heritage Centre .So much to enjoy .Superb food , gardens , tombola , clog dancing , books galore covering our wonderful canal system and poetry . My idea of a great day .The Royal Preston Morris Dancers began the event . Then it was  the Eccleston Heritage Clog Dancers .( these were all ladies and you can see them in black . ) Stills do not do such justice so I'll have to make a short movie . The poetry was terrific . A duo who go under the name of Tin Pot Poets were splendid .Sally James and Ron Williams write humorous dialect verse .They recently got married and you see them bottom left .It was a terrific day with much to offer. I won some excellent hand cream and perfumed sachets ...My extra is taken from outside the events barn , looking in ..
