Chapel Lane

We went to the Swan Bar for morning coffee, I took this photo on the way back.  The notice board is for community notices posted by King Edward VI School, Shakespeare's old place of learning.  The gate leads to the old vicarage, presumably of Guild Chapel and the sign on the lamppost is from Portsmouth Council, one of many lampposts donated to Stratford from around the country and beyond.

Later we went back to Swan Gardens where a free folk concert was being held by the RSC (see extra).  Headlining ex-Bellowhead member Benji Kirkpatrick with guest stars Lisa Knapp and Kate Young.  The weather had progressively improved over the afternoon so it was a fine evening for it.
