Spirit of Ecstasy
After a lazy morning in the garden we went to Upton House, a National Trust property near Banbury. They were holding a vintage transport event and the place was very busy. We had a look at the cars, motorbikes and cycles then took off to the cafe for a cuppa.
Upton House has a permanent 1940s theme being used by the merchant bank M. Samuel & Co. during the war when the entire business, including the staff, were moved out of London, hence the sandbags backdrop to the vintage Rolls Royce emblem at what was the main entrance.
