Oradour

Today we visited a memorial village where the whole population was rounded up and either shot or gassed as a warning to the resistance fighters in world war two. Tobes had a big sleep so we pushed him round the museum in his buggy and read in horror what had happened. The nazis set fire to the village and everything has just been left where it was found including this car,old sewing machines and the rusty frame of a pram in the church. Looking round it still didn't seem real or possible that human beings could do something so awful to another human being and you realise how brain washed they must have been. The visit will stay with me for a long time.
