Skye cemetery
We stayed last night in Mallaig and came over to Armadale on the first ferry this morning. Unfortunately the weather was dull and cloudy, but at least it wasn't raining!
Driving along Glen Drynoch towards our B&B near Carbost we came upon this lovely little graveyard on the shore of Loch Harport. Trien Cemetery has a backdrop of mountains and is a very peaceful place. While there a gentleman came up to visit a grave and stood for a while in silence. He then came over and started to chat. In 15 minutes we got through an amazing range of subjects; he was a much-travelled man who had spent years in the Merchant Navy and lived at Portnalong near the mouth of Loch Harport. When I asked him if he had somebody in the graveyard he told me yes, that his son had been killed on a building site in Plymouth at the young age of 47 and that today was his birthday.
When he'd left I found the grave - it's my extra for today,
