Audrey's Tea Party

Audrey's tea party was today. Or the 'Come See What We Made Party' as we coined it. Invited all our Manchester friends that haven't met her yet to drop in between 1-4pm for a drink to celebrate her arrival and have a cuddle.

Audrey, not one for sticking to a plan decided to be fashionably late for her own bash. Favouring sleeping in her crib in the bedroom to meeting her adoring public.

In the end we had to bring her downstairs asleep and she was passed around like that. Felt a little cruel but friends had come especially to meet her and the obligatory cuddle was part of the deal.

She carried on sleeping and sleeping and sleeping pretty much. She has never had so much daytime sleep and seemed off her food and to have the sniffles today too. I do hope she's OK?

It was nice to see all our old friends from Manchester in one room. We had some specially commissioned cupcakes made for the day (see pic) with Audrey's face on them which went down well with a glass of fizz.

I'm exhausted myself. I realised today that I can no longer handle social situations for too long. My over-tired brain can't handle sustained small talk. I zone out when people are talking and to be honest, there's only one thing (OK person) on my mind right now....I'm not good company as a result!
