Home is where the ant is.

We have a big weight on the bottom of our bird feeder to prevent it from blowing over. When Mr C removed the weight, to move the feeder while he cuts the grass, there were hundreds of eggs/larvae/pupa (?). All the ants went into panic and started collecting up the 'eggs'. After gently sweeping the eggs off the bottom, he then moved the feeder to find more underneath busying away and trying to take the 'eggs' underground. He normally just mows straight over this patch but being thoughtful as he is he mowed around it. A couple in extras.
