The Prosecco Palace

Day 2 - I've painted the final pieces of trim and Alan's done all the finishing touches which involved getting on the roof to be able to nail down the roofing felt and fit the barge board to the side by the field.  It was impossible to do it from the ground as there are nettles in the field which are probably a metre deep, but it was quite tricky to do sitting on the roof because he couldn't see where he was putting the nails.  He had to feel the last one while I guided him and fortunately his fingers are still intact!

We timed it well and had just finished putting everything away  when it started to rain.  We sat inside it for a while and it seems to be weather proof, thank goodness. We're both really pleased with it, and can't wait to get the internal works finished now.
