Me and a toad!
Yesterday in was newts, today toads. This little chap made me jump when I went into the summerhouse this evening. I don't know if he was stuck in there, or jumped in as I opened the door. He is a really pretty toad and he wriggled back into my hand as I held him for Mollie to take his photo. He has lovely bronze coloured eyes.
I had only gone out to collect todays eggs (just 2) and turn my bantams eggs in the incubator. The garden is ridiculously wet and i hope this unseasonal weather (not unseasonal if you live in a rain forest I suppose, which I don't!) doesn't affect the preparations for the conservatory erection later this week.
Today work was good, and I got out at lunchtime in the rain to post something I sold on ebay last week. I left just before 5, driving straight to Cromer. I needed diesel. That's DIESEL. It was the first time I have filled up since that day. Grrrr. I double, then triple checked I had the black diesel nozzle; that it clearly said diesel on the reading, then filled it.
Now I'm going to cut out the sleeves to the see-through dress I'm making, before The Great British Sewing Bee comes on at 9. So, football has started and Mollie is watching. But in an hour.....we are turning over to BBC2. Moll. You have been warned
