The path to Linhope Spout
Solstice greetings, Blip friends.
We had planned to go for a walk and picnic with Tom and Dorothy yesterday afternoon but, as it was rather wet then, postponed it until today. Good decision!
Late afternoon, as soon as I got back from work, we all set of for the Ingram Valley, where we ate by the River Breamish - MrM had packed a feast of a picnic. The sky was blue and the sun shone - glorious, if a tad windy - as we watched buzzards soaring above the hills and oyster catchers at the water's edge.
Then, after a short stroll by the river with Louie, we drove to the end of the road and walked to Linhope Spout, a waterfall (extras). It's only a 3-mile walk but lovely, as it takes you in to the hills.
Very pleasant way to spend an evening!
