Tufted Titmouse ...

As I mentioned the other day, R made a new peanut feeder for the birds ... modeled off of one we saw at Peace Valley Nature Center.

Well, it's been a huge hit with the chickadees (see extra) and the tufted titmice ... seen above.

We were hoping to draw the red-bellied woodpeckers or the Northern flickers to it, but that hasn't happened yet.  We have seen these birds in our yard, but only occasionally. 

Perhaps it will eventually!
