Bulgarian Roses!

We went to a village near Velingrad to see a special wedding ritual which dates back to before anyone in the area remembers.  The bride has her face painted (gold with jewels stuck on) by her girl friends and then a veil is put over her face.  She is then taken to the house of her groom where she waits patiently until the ceremony! 

My main blip shows some of her little helpers (bridesmaids) in the costume of their village/area and the two extras show the bride when she is ready to go to her groom's house, and also some beautiful Bulgarian roses.

The weather continues to be beautifully hot and sunny!
