lakeshore walk

First job this morning was packed lunch making before driving to Crummock Water. We parked at Lanthwaite Woods and walked along the east shore, around the back of Rannerdale Knotts and down to Buttermere. 

After a cafe stop it was back along the west shore. Not as wet as when we walked it last year and no triathlon on either. We had to alter our planned route that day.

A sunny day but with a breeze which was great for walking but bad news for reflections in the lake.  My phone says we walked 12 miles. I disagree and have calculated 8.5 - 9. 

Not much time for photo stops today. The blip is looking across Crummock Water to Grasmoor and the extra shows Rannerdale Knotts.
