..........6 months...........

..ago today........I was broken............I still am.

Hard to find anything positive today......
Loki enjoyed the Sun this afternoon.
I saw both of my children briefly.
Jo texted me for the first time in ages.
Hebs and I had a bit of on-line banter.

But most of the day was full of sadness and memories.

One silly memory popped into my head..............I have certain sayings that still cling from my childhood in the North East........Hebs favourite is "There's a rabbit off somewhere".......used when something doesn't seem 100% right...but I have two that I have used for at least 40 years..at the time of the Summer solstice.......

The first I said as the Sun set on the longest day........Aye, nights are fair drawing in!.........every year.....Helen used to give me an indulgent smile.

The second I said the next morning as we got dressed...............Winter draws on!........only works when spoken this one............another indulgent smile.

I had no one to say them to this year.......so you lot have got them..........no need to thank me.
