Phlox before sun up

This was taken before sunrise this morning while it was still cool. It hasn't quite reached 100 yet but may well by the end of the week. It is 97 at 4:40 pm today. This is the time of year when the garden dries up and you begin to wonder whether it is worth the effort trying to keep it going. But we press on!
