sick Geese

All the surviving goslings have got the flu. Sadly the three adult geese are rotten parents and do not allow the little ones to seek shelter when it rains and for the last four weeks, I doubt we have had a single 24 hour period without rain. Added to which it has been cool and often windy and the fields are all flooded. It's barely possible to find a dry spot.

So have now separated them from the adults and put them back in the large covered, fully walled indoor chicken run with infrared light. For a few hours a day when it is dry they are allowed out into the outdoor run. 

Horrible to watch them sneezing away but most seem to be doing well. Strangely by far, the biggest is the one suffering the most.
