“your lupins or your life"
I’ve long had a thing about lupins - well before Monty Python immortalised them in the tale of highwayman/lupin-stealer, Dennis Moore;
Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore,
Riding through the night.
Soon every lupin in the land
Will be in his mighty hand
He steals them from the rich
And gives them to the poor
Mr Moore, Mr Moore, Mr Moore.
For a plant so commonplace, there’s something vaguely exotic about it. Guard your lupins well.
