so - is this it?

It’s the children I’m concerned about.  Chris and Dan are worried; so is Helen - she rang me last week; “I don’t know why we’re even having this referendum”.

Some argue that this is all about democracy in action.  For others it’s all a big gamble on what might or might not happen afterwards.

Amid all the uncertainties and outrageous assertions dressed up as facts, one thing is sure.  The country we wake up in tomorrow will no longer be the same.  The campaigns have been too bitter, too divisive.  And I cannot image either side being a good loser. 

It’s an acrimonious and messy divorce;

Leave: “ I need sometime to myself”.

Remain; “but what about the children - can’t we make a go of it for their sake?”


(Because they’re the ones who are going to have deal with the mess afterwards.)
