Badlands National Park

Today was a long day, but a fascinating one. We left our cabin early and headed to Badlands National Park. We drove the scenic loop and saw such amazing landscape. I'm putting a few other photos in the extras - one is of a colorful hill, called "yellow mounds", one is of a mule deer we saw in the park, and the last is of a white prairie dog and its baby. We ended the day by stopping at a huge tourist attraction - a souvenir and gift shop plus cafe that takes up an entire block in the town of Wall, South Dakota, called Wall Drug. Then headed back to the cabin for another late dinner.  We still need to discuss what we'll do tomorrow but we have only two days left before we head for home and there are a lot of things we haven't seen.
