Here there and everywhere

A trip of trolleys

What's the collective noun for a gathering of trolleys?! No self-respecting Spanish (or Catalan here in Barcelona) would ever be without a shopping trolley as shopping is still, generally, done very locally. We've got ours, which I think has been blipped before.

This was in our local fresh food market this morning. The fish stand in the background gets our custom when fish is on the menu. People take their fish buying very seriously here and time isn't important when a fish is being gutted. People are happy to stand waiting their turn or some customers find out who's last in the 'queue', then keep an eye on that person while buying things at other stalls. We love having this market on our doorstep, just a few mins walk away.

New cleaning lady this morning and so far so good! She worked her way methodically through the rooms and within a few minutes of starting had tidied up the cupboard where we keep the cleaning stuff. A good sign. Fingers crossed! She didn't tut at having to move things on the shelves to polish. And the three of us (Bb was at home too) all tried the new vacuum and think it will be a success. He's called Sammy, being a Samsung. We didn't tell the cleaning lady that. Not yet.
