Scientists
Our school is a polling station so there was no school today. So we went with friends to the Royal Highland Show for the day. We had a fantastic day, not marred too much by the 1&1/2hr journey to travel 14 miles due to a Scot rail strike in order to get there - a party CD and a few games of "who am I" kept the troops entertained. On the way back we were caught in traffic again so played "I went to the highland show and saw..." which resulted in this summary of our day...
I went to the highland show and saw the biggest tractor I have ever seen, listened to the radio in the biggest tractor, saw mark the vet, had Coca-Cola, got the biggest red bag i've ever seen, saw the cutest chicks, rose a cool electric bike, rode on the barrels on the back of the bike, played in big blow up plastic balls on water, had ice cream, had lots of yummy free strawberries, watched the kids climb on a huge claas combine harvester...
Here they are dressed up as scientists, doing experiments to look at proteins. D was most taken by the pipet he got to use.
D coped very well with his day. I only had to carry him for about the last half hour which wasn't bad given how poorly he's been. He was in his bed and asleep very promptly tho tonight!
