Charlene's Baby Shower

My old friend Shasta, herself formerly unhoused, now lives a clean and sober life indoors and serves as mentor and surrogate mother to young women who have been living in the streets and are conquering their addictions. Charlene has been clean and sober for over a year now, and she’s expecting her first baby in August. Today Charlene’s friends, two of whom are also pregnant and expecting this summer (see Extra), put on a baby shower for her, and I was honored to be the photographer for the event.
