Thatched Church
This is St Agnes Church in Freshwater, and is the only thatched church on the Isle of Wight. It was built in 1908, and the stone use was from a delict farmhouse which dated from 1622.
I met a good friend of mine and we walked from her house in Totland, towards the Needles, then up to Tennyson monument and then down in to Freshwater where we had lunch opposite this church. We walked over 5 miles in total, and Daisy is now exhausted. We did get wet, as on top of Tennyson Down the heavens opened and there was no shelter, but never the less it was a lovely day with lots of chatting.
The extras are 2 views of the Needles, a panorama looking over Yarmouth and Totland, and then Tennyson Monument.
