Sam's sunflower
A fair few weeks ago, Sam bought home a little plastic pot filled with mud, which had obviously been tipped over and hastily shoved back in. At home, we looked through the mud to find 2 small sunflower seeds which we put back into the mud and carefully covered over. After about 3 weeks of patiently watering the pot (I was ready to give up!) Sam finally spotted a tiny shoot. And here it is now. Not the biggest of sunflowers but a pretty one none the less, and one that would probably not have bloomed if not for Sam's patient watering!
