Glimpses of York.
Paul and me travelled to and from York today to collect Maria after she worked at Rolys fudge shop.
We helped her bring her things home and had a full car load of all the things she has needed and collected at univiversity during the past three years. I am pleased to share she got her BA in English Literature and Linguistics, and is hoping to find a job in publishing. I hope it is in York but we shall have to wait and see and hope something worthwhile emerges for her.
I love the vibrant atmosphere of York, the musicians, street artists, cafes and shops. It is culturally fascinating, and we have loved the service at Molly's teashop which is in an antique shop in the centre of the city. Great cakes and delicious drinks, including herbal tea and a good veggie breakfast. So, go York, and visit the many wonderful attractions, not least of all the Minster, and York chocolate shop. Divine.
I love the Cath Kidston shop, and Shared Earth.
