Playtime.

Another wet day  - just perfect for playing around with water and oil. (Thank you Rainie for the link.)

I struggled with getting a clear sharp image though.  When I removed the glass from an old picture to use under my bowl, I found it wasnt clear glass but had a sort of matt finish. That didnt add anything to the clarity, but it had to do.

I had a lot of fun experimenting with colours  and ended up using a silk scarf for the background. I started by pushing the oil bubbles around with my finger but found I was leaving oily fingerprints everywhere so changed to a spoon handle. I am sure Rainie didnt make half the mess I did.

It was fascinating to see the patterns form and change and hard to chose a favourite. If you are interested, there are some more in the extras.
