Water Play in London
Back in London this morning we visited the British Museum with our friend Liz (whom Marylee has known since her days at Oxford in the 1960s). We saw a superb exhibition on Sicily, entitled "Culture and Conquest", which focused on the various peoples who have lived on the island: Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs and Norman, especially during the 11th through 13h centuries, when a multicultural society truly flourished. After a fine Sunday lunch, we passed this little fellow in Russell Square, taking advantage of the day's summery weather.
