NORTH COAST 500 ROAD TRIP - DAY 3

We’re off to Thurso today and took in some more spectacular scenery en route. We pulled into a lay-by at the side of Loch Assynt to stretch our legs and enjoyed the view over to Ardvreck Castle  above. I left 5 minutes before everyone else and waited in a lay-by for the others to pass. This gave me some action shots of the bikes riding past and here is Ricky posing for the camera (extras). Our next stop was at the Smoo Cave in Durness where my 3 second exposure shows a boat disappearing into the cave. There was a handy railing nearby to set the camera on as I didn’t have a tripod (travelling light).

We eventually arrived in Thurso where we had a well earned rest at the Royal Hotel!
