Sky Glade

Hidden among the trees in the parkland at the National Trust's Sheffield Park and Garden's is the newly created Sky Glade. Eight 12 foot panels of Sussex oak placed at compass points to create a viewing circle for stargazing. I think the idea is that you lean backwards against the panels to make standing and looking up more comfortable. Delighted to say that my daughter has just been appointed as their trainee ranger so she will be helping to look after the 250 acre parkland for the next two and a half years. Its only three miles from home so she will be able to cycle there.
