Story Tine

No – that’s not miss-spelt .  .  .
 
Once upon a tine there was an electric lawn-rake.  Not only could it scarify like there was no tomorrow (walking pace), it actually picked up the scarifications in a lawnmower size grass catcher – better than the little jobs that fill their tiny catchers in just a couple of yards!!
 
A friend borrowed the nice lawn-rake to scarify his lawn, first time the scarifier had been used this year.  He hadn’t been gone long when I got a phone call saying it was hardly scarifying anything. Sure enough the tines were all worn away and I had to buy a new set.
 
Today I put the new tines on and hey presto – it picked that lot up from our very small back lawn in no time at all.  Then onto the main lawn – what a difference.
 
Personal memo – don’t try to pick up the leaves from the gravel drive this autumn using the electric lawn-rake!!!
