Change of scene

From the green of yesterday's photos to the cityscape of Leith - the stretch of cobbles and old tramlines in front of the Scottish Executive buildings, where there are restaurants - always changing hands, some lying empty - offices, car parking and this stretch of water, with little fountains playing. Today in mid-afternoon it was very quiet - a weekday, lunchtime over, not Festival time, not even school holidays yet. My granddaughters were strangely drawn to the water, not really threatening to throw themselves in but content to stare at a fountain as though hypnotised.

That's what they said anyway. They're growing up fast ...
