Great Scott!!!!

When I heard there was a Scott Monument in Edinburgh and that it is in recognition of an author, I thought it might be for my great, great uncle Wally Scott. He claimed to have written books such as The Fair Maid of Aberdeen, The Heart of Strathclyde and Ivanrake, although no one in our family has ever seen a copy of any of them!!!!!
However, the monument is actually for Sir Walter Scott, no relation, who wrote books with rather similar titles!!!!
Another rather showery day in Edinburgh but we're off back up the road tomorrow, if our car starts. ( It didn't this morning until I gave it a little push)
