Historical panel

After a day of meetings considering workforce planning and some tricky issues I headed west to Greenock. There was an evening event for panel and AST members to both meet each other and to recognise those who were leaving the system or who marked a special number of years.

Good fun and an opportunity to thank those who volunteer to help vulnerable children. See extra.

The gathering was in the Bay Hotel but those who have been in the system for many years mentioned that the buildung opposite (blipped) was where the first hearing room (and reporters' offices) were located. Up the close!

An easy drive back to Edinburgh through Glasgow saw me home just after midnight.

A good day: shame I have to be up early to get the car into the garage.
