Road Race

The main event today was the road race in which Team GB were expecting a gold. We headed down to the Mall and had a picnic in Green Park with a view of the crowds. Huge numbers were waiting for hours in anticipation of seeing Mark Cavendish sprint by on the way to gold but it wasn't to be. A real shame - the place would have been absolutely buzzing had he won.

Later we went for a coffee in Kensington, then to Leicester Square and into China Town to meet up with Iain's parents for a Chinese dinner.
