Gala Day

A busy day again - packing up and shifting fabrics ready for Mrs madwill's pop-up shop day tomorrow. We seem to have more stock than ever - I'm going to ache when we finish tomorrow night!

I also took our two canine guests back home to Doncaster - our daughter and family arrived home last night. Dogs were very pleased to be back.

This afternoon I popped up to the village playing fields to visit the annual gala. As well as the usual plant, food, burger, ice cream, tombola and tea stalls there were events in the main 'arena'. This year the main attraction was a stunt rider/driver who performed various tricks. He was quite entertaining. He managed to guide this little dune buggy around on two wheels, as well as doing 'donuts' around 'volunteers' standing in the field. The weather mostly held off during the gala - just a few spots of rain - but the wind was causing havoc with some of the tents and gazebos. Lots of folk hanging on to guy lines.

I took Finlay with me - he was very well behaved. He did sit very patiently whilst I supped a pint in the beer tent - this was a proper marquee and was well tied down. We then went off for our walk.
