Texas Mountain Laurel
I've been in a bit of a mono mood lately. That's easy to do when the sky is a sheet of white/grey. Supposedly, the sun will shine tomorrow. It's actually going to be quite cool overnight - 73°/23° before sunrise, but gain steam and reach over 90°/32° by the time I get home from church around 11:00.
This large bush, with the peanut-shaped seed pods, is on Frank's (his wife Elaine passed away during the winter) side of our adjoining wall. I've blipped this bush, from the same angle, before. At the time, I wasn't sure what it was. Elaine went to a lot of trouble to research it for me back then. When it's in bloom, it has lovely purple flowers and a scent similar to lavender. It's out of my view when I sit on or look out upon my patio so most of the time I miss seeing its flowers...but I can always smell them when they are there.
Trivia bit:
There will be 16 hrs 30 min of daylight in the UK on Sunday, 3 July.
There will be 14 hrs 11 min of daylight in Green Valley, AZ, USA.
I feel cheated!
