Diary of an Edinburgher

Sunday lunch

Rufus and his mum invited all his doggie friends for lunch in town today, so Bailey and her mum, and Archie and us took the bus into town. Though Rufus's mum tried to get on the bus using her bank card instead of her bus pass, but it didn't work hehehe...

What a fun time we had - three 'red snapper' cocktails for the others and a beer for me, then a roast dinner each. The TV on the facing wall showing tennis was a bonus. Another bonus was the very appropriate music - Singing Detective 40s/50s songs.

The dogs posed for a photo before we had our meal, but they had to sit at a table with some daylight - the rest of the bar was subdued lighting. So it wasn't the easiest lighting for an iPhone to cope with, hence the rubbish photo.

Rufus mucked around and pretended he didn't know what was expected, but Bailey and Archie posed and went on posing patiently while we tried to persuade Rufus to do the same.

As we waited for the bus home, Rufus did his wee trick and did a poo, but he mis-timed it, and his mum had enough time to deposit the bag in a nearby bin instead of having to get on the bus with it.

On the way home, Rufus and Archie got off in the Meadows, where they finished their day out with a walk in the park. Oh, and Archie was sick on the bus again!

I declined the invitation for a walk, but hurried home to watch tennis instead. Glad I didn't miss that marathon tennis match between Tsonga and Isner. Brilliant stuff!

A grand day out.
