Creche

Surprised to find a creche of six Red Deer calves in the field this morning. They just lay there for a while, then the hinds, in the wood opposite, barked and they stood up and looked a little startled! They still have their baby spots.
A little further down the road, came across an Oystercatcher with her chick, teaching it to probe for food.
That's why I like to get up early.
Later, watched young gannets fishing and found a poorly looking Guillemot on the beach.
Too windy for dragons and butterflies, except for Ringlets, who don't seem to mind.
