Silage Sunday.....

A cow to bring in and calve at 7 am started the day off. Eventually got the one that calved on Friday night to suck the cow , but she keeps rumbling about in the pen and it keeps loosing the tit, but will get there eventually. The 2 herds busy gathering one of the hills to shut the ewes I ready to shear tomorrow. Showers on and off just to make things harder.
By tonight that was the 3rd tanker full of silage effluent I had emptied today , 6300 gallons . Some years there is hardly any, but this year the weather didn't play ball.
Decided to cut the lawns this afternoon in between showers. Just to keep me fit !
