Hello, little fella

This rather striking dragonfly wandered back to my car with me when I went for a walk through Christian Fields.

A beautiful sunny morning, before the forecast cloud, and I decided to see how the butterflies were going on in this rather deserted  nature reserve off the Lichfield ring road (Eastern Avenue).

It's too early for the colourful ones. The buddleia isn't ready and today there were a few Skippers, a solitary white, frisky Meadow Browns and beautiful Ringlets.

But this little fella stole the show.
